OPTIMIZATION OF PARAMETERS OF THE MEASUREMENT AND ESTIMATION TO ACCURACY OF THE DETERMINATION GAMMA-ACTIVE RADIONUCLIDES IN SOILS BY METHOD GAMMA SPECTROSCOPY

Terms of sampling and modes of the measurement of the natural radioactivity to ensure the accuracy of determination radionuclides natural series ²³⁸U and ²³²Th, ⁴⁰К and technogenic ¹³⁷Cs in samples of soils of Transcarpathian protected areas were discussed. The subject of optimization was sample preparations condition of soils, times of measurement, the choice of specific set of gamma-active radionuclides as labels for ²³⁸U and ²³²Th series and energy their gamma-quantum. The validity of the gamma-active radionuclide’s determinations is confirmed on base of the determination of the total contents potassium in soils by method flame spectrophotometry as well as specific activity of 40К in these soils with recalculation on total content of potassium.
