Method of gas chromatography combined with high resolution mass spectrometry (GC,HRMS) was applied for detection of methasterone (17β,Hydroxy,2α,17α,dimethyl,5α,androstane,3,one) and its metabolite in the urine of volunteer after single dose administration of Methyl Masterdrol drug. The peculiarities of the methasterone excretion were studied. An application of GC,HRMS allowed considerably (in compare with low,resolution GC,MS analysis) increase the time (from 80 to 270 hours in case of identification of non,metabolized methasterone and from 100 to 310 hours in case of methabolite) after the methasterone administration, when it can be detected in human urine.Publisher:Taras Shevchenko National University, Kiev Ukraine
