A micellar extraction procedure of molybdenum in different matrices was developed. After complexation with phenylfluorone, molybdenum is quantitatively extracted into micellar phase based on cationic surfactant cetylpyridinium chloride. The RGB,color characteristics of the molybdenum complex with phenylfluorone in micellar extracts were studied. The conditions of the micellar extracts obtaining and their color characteristics registration were optimized. The interference effect of different cations was also tested. The limit of detection and relative standard deviation for molybdenum preconcentrating from 10,mL sample were found to be 1 µg L^,1 and < 11 % respectively. The method was successfully applied for the determination of molybdenum in tap waters and urine.
