Luminescence determination of sorbic acid in juice and soft drinks
, The possibility of the determination of sorbic acid (SA) in juice and soft drinks by luminescence method was investigated. It has been shown that the SA decreases the luminescence of the Tb(III), ¬trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO) complexes in the presence of nonionic surfactants Triton X¬100. The luminescence quenching is proportional to the concentration of SA within the range 0,05,0,5 mg/ml. The detection limit of SA in juice and soft drinks was 0,1 mkg/ml .
