Sorption,colorimetric and naked eye determination of silicon as ion associates of SiMo₁₂O₄₀^4, with triphenylmethane dyes

The sorption of the ionic associates (IA) of 12,molybdosilicate with Brilliant Green (BG) and Crystal Violet (CV) into the polyurethane foam was studied. The sorption capacity 0,77 μmol·g,1 and adsorption equilibrium constants KCV= 1,3·106, KBG= 1,4·106 L·mol,1 were determined from the Langmuir isotherm. The colored scales for naked eye detection and dependence of chromaticity coordinates from the silicon(IV) concentration were obtained. The methods were applied to the determination of silicon(IV) in waters in the concentration range from 4·10,8 to 1·10,6 mol·L,1.
