The acid,base properties of 4,sulpho,2(4`,sulfonaphthaline,1`,azo) naphthol,1 functional analytic groups in aqueous and water,organic solutions

The acid,base equilibria of 4,sulpho,2 (4`,sulfonaphthaline,1`,azo)naphthol,1 (karmoazin) in aqueous and water,organic media have been studied. The corresponding constants of acidic and basic ionization of its functional,analytic groups have been estimated on the basis of spectrophotometry, pH,metry and colorimetry. It was stated that organic molecules in mixed media had a greater effect on the acid ionization constant than on the base ionization constant. It was revealed that from the noted redox metals karmoazin reacted with Hg²⁺, VO₄^3,, CrÎ₄^2,, MnÎ₄^, and Ce⁴⁺ according to redox potential of their redox couples.
