Ion-exchange separation of polyphosphates and their complexes with zinc(II)
Highly sensitive method for the separation and determination of polyphosphates by ion exchange chromatography with spectrophotometric detection as ion associate of 12-molybdophosphoric heteropolyanion with polymethine dye Astra Phloxin was developed. It was found that in the presence of zinc(II) new peaks corresponding to the formation of its complexes with linear polyphosphates appear on the chromatograms. Conditions for phosphorus species separation were optimized. The method was applied to the analysis of the high temperature anticorrosion lubricants for tube-rolling industry.
