Solid-phase spectrophotometric determination of nickel and zinc using dithizone immobilized

 Modified sorbents were obtained by Fe(II) and Mn(II) adsorption on silica gel surface, and their properties were studied. Optimum conditions of Zn(II), Cd(II) and Ni(II) interaction with dithizone immobilized in such a way have been established. The methods of sorptionspectrophotometric determination of Zn(II) and Ni(II) with the detection limits of 0.14 and 0.07 mg/l, respectively, and a colour scale for the visual test determination of Ni(II) (with the detection limit of 0.12 mg/l) were developed.
