Test determination of manganese in natural water after its ultrasonic treatment

 The ultrasonic treatment is widely used in the analytical practice, in particular, for the decomposition of the soluble organic compounds which hamper to obtain the unmitigated analytical signal. But this technique was not used in the test analysis. The optimum conditions of the ultrasonic decomposition of the humic compounds before the manganese test were found. The manganese determination is based on its catalytic action on the oxidation reaction of the malachite green by the periodate. As the result the dye decoloration is occurred and the rose color of the pre-added rodamine 6G is appeared. The time until the color appears on the indicator film is the analytical signal. It is shown that the effectiveness of the humic substances decomposition depends on the ultrasonic treatment duration. At the small concentrations of the analyzed component the saturation range is observed on the dependence of the analytical signal on the treatment time. In case of big concentrations the maximum is appeared on the same dependence.
